U.S. President Donald Trump believes that G7 summits are a complete waste of his time. This was reported by the CNN news agency.

According to CNN TV channel, the U.S. President stated G7 summits were the waste of time - during the conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and French President Emmanuel Macron. He came to that conclusion after the last two summits.

After those summits, Trump was irked at the lengthy discussions about the environment and oceans and felt he wasn't given enough room to tout his achievements as a president. Inside the White House, it wasn't clear Trump would commit to attending this year's G7 until late spring.

The G7 represents the world's major economies, and has long been a regular stop on the U.S. President's calendar. In small group sessions, the world's major economic and geopolitical problems are discussed at length.

It is mentioned that Donald Trump is getting ready to meet with other state leaders, including his new partner, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson.
