According to the U.S. President, the European countries allocate not enough funds

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he will delay the provision of the financial aid to Ukraine, as Reuters reported.

According to Trump, his decision is tied with the fact that the European states help Ukraine financially not enough.

“I insist that Europe makes its contribution in the aid to Ukraine. Why only the U.S. allocates money?” Trump asked.

Trump stated that Germany, France, and other countries should provide more aid to Ukraine.

According to The Washington Post, U.S. President ordered to stop the payment of $400 million of military aid to Ukraine before the call to Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelensky.

One of the officials stated that Trump withheld the funds fearing the corruption in Ukraine and the decision to transfer money was motivated by the early end of the financial year on September 30.

As we reported, the U.S. senators from the Republican and Democratic parties expect that the Congress will adopt the bill on the resumption of the plan on provision of the military aid to Ukraine in the sum of $250 million even if President Donald Trump aims to block it.

Earlier, U.S. Department of Defense has reconsidered provision of military assistance for Ukraine, deciding to carry on. Thus, Pentagon will assign 250 million dollars for that matter
