Trump signed a law which allows visit exchange of official delegations with Taiwan, Reuters reports.
The law provides a plea for strengthening of relations with Taiwan. People’s Republic of China believes that this law contradicts with One-China police, which is officially supported by the USA, and will worsen the situation in the region.
China expressed protest against Donald Trump in December of 2016 due to the fact, that newly-elected U.S. President had a phone conversation with the leader of Taiwan. Beijing considered this a violation of One-China policy, as Chinese authorities do not acknowledge Taiwan’s independence. Later, Chine claimed its discontent with military co-operation between Washington and Taipei.
Besides, after a phone talk with Chinese Xi Jinping Trump stated that American-Chinese relations improved. He also supported the One-China policy in the course of the conversation with China. Later, it was reported that USA is preparing missile supply to Taiwan.
