US President Donald Trump intends to raise the Ukraine and Syria questions during the meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, reports CNN.

The agency notes that the main topic of the talks between the presidents at the G20 summit in Germany will be Russia's support for Bashar Assad and the issue of the occupied territories of Ukraine, including the Crimea. At the same time, the question of Russia's interference in the presidential elections in the US will most likely not be raised during the meeting.

"Even without the issue of elections, the meeting between Trump and Putin is crucial for the future of Europe and the Middle East. The question of US sanctions against Russia, Russia's invasion of the Crimea, the future of Syria, the elimination of the Islamic state is all on the agenda, " the agency writes.
