Special Forces of the Fanton Tax Police, Armed Forces of Ukraine and Security Service arrested a truck MAN with a large consignment of goods in Donetsk region in the "gray area". This was reported by the press service of Donetsk region State Fiscal Service.
According to the information, the car was hidden in a forest belt near the village of Verkhnyotoretske.
"According to the operative data, the vehicle with goods was prepared for illegal transfer through the line of delimitation to the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Ukraine, bypassing checkpoints. The cargo contains almost 500 items of inventory, including household and office supplies, vehicle spare parts, construction works inventory, fabrics, household chemicals, equipment for mixing mineral fertilizers and the like, "the report said.
On this fact, a protocol was drawn up on administrative violation under Part 1 of Article 204-3 of the Code of Administrative Violations (Violation of the procedure for moving goods to or from the area of an anti-terrorist operation). According to preliminary data the goods worth more than 75 thousand dollars.
As it was reported earlier in spite of Ukraine’s official ban, over 2016, the Russian government exported goods to the occupied areas of Donbas at the total cost of 222 million U.S. dollars. Meduza reported that, having analyzed the accessible data of Russia’s Federal Customs Service, the FCS.
Ukraine has put embargo on the mentioned goods in early 2016.
‘In fact, it means growing trade volumes between Russia and so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. The self-proclaimed republics in eastern Ukraine already became largest foreign consumers of Russian meat and beer,’ the outlet said.
