According to him, the preparation for the declaration of the truce due to the Easter holidays became the main issue of the meeting.
“Finally, the Trilateral Contact Group agreed on the necessity of the announcement of the truce and agreed to hold the additional video conference on April 18 for its final coordination. The experience shows that political will of the both sides is the most important thing for the effective and long-term truce; it is not difficult with the presence of will,” he said.
Earlier the representatives of the Russian Federation to the humanitarian and economic subgroups of the Trilateral Contact Group on settlement of the situation in Donbas disrupted the meeting on April 10.
On March 8, the sides of Minsk Trilateral Contact Group agreed on the ceasefire regime. However, the pro-Russian militants violated it during the first 24 hours.
