A bus with tourists turned over in the Carpathians on the tourist route of Vysokyi Verkh mountain. As a result of the road accident, five people were injured. The press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that on September 30.
“On September 29, a car carrying tourists (seven people) overturned on the tourist route of Vysokyi Verkh mountain near the village of Volosianka, Stryj district, five people were injured as a result,” the statement reads.
It is noted that all victims were transferred to medical workers and hospitalized.
Six people and one unit of equipment of the State Emergency Service were involved in the rescue operation.
As it was reported earlier, on September 15, an explosion at Pid Berda valley, near Voronenko village occurred during the lighting of fire by tourists in the Carpathians. As a result, two people out of a group of 12 passed away; four more sustained injuries.
Police have opened a criminal case over an explosion in the Carpathians that killed two tourists and injured five others. According to preliminary information, a shell from the First World War was detonated by tourists as they wanted to light the fire.
