Three Ukrainians detained in Uzbekistan for attempted bank robbery

On Tuesday, July 4, the law enforcers of Uzbekistan detained three Ukrainians for attempted bank robbery, as the press office of the Republic’s Internal Ministry reported.

The detention took place in Tashkent - the capital of Uzbekistan.  It was defined that on May 16 the Ukrainians opened safe-deposit boxes in the bank. Later, they were trying to crack it with special tools, when the law enforcers detained them.

Earlier, SBU detained the citizen of Uzbekistan who was declared wanted on an international arrest warrant on suspicion of extremism.
