In the coming days, the capital of Ukraine and three other regions may leave the red quarantine zone, head of the Center for Health Economics of the Kyiv School of Economics Yuriy Hanichenko announced at a briefing.

According to him, Kyiv city, Donetsk, Odesa and Kherson regions may soon leave the red quarantine zone in the near future.

"Kyiv city, Donetsk, Odesa and Kherson regions can leave the red zone. In Kyiv city, Donetsk and Kherson regions, the level of hospitalization per 100,000 population was exceeded, while in Odesa region the case detection rate was also exceeded. Although it has been declining at a fairly stable pace for the last three days and may soon cross the 20% positive test," Hanychenko said.

Luhansk and Lviv regions will leave the red quarantine zone this week. Coronavirus spread has stabilized in these regions.

As it was reported earlier, 12,729 new cases of Covid-19 were detected on November 22, and another 720 people died in Ukraine.

It is noted that 3,304,058 cases of Covid-19 were found in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic. At the same time, 2,796,597 people (+23,107) have already recovered and were discharged from medical institutions. However, 82,318 (+720) patients died from complications caused by the infection.
