Thorbjørn Jagland: Election creates new hope for Ukraine

Secretary General of the Council of Europe believes that non-corrupted institutions which people can trust, is the way forward to a sovereign Ukrainian state

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland welcomed Ukraine’s snap parliamentary election results. He wrote about it on his Twitter page.

“Bravo to President Zelenskiy and his party Sluga Narodu. Election creates new hope for UkraineBravo to President Zelenskiy and his party Sluga Narodu.  Election creates new hope for Ukraine.  Non-corrupted institutions which people can trust, is the way forward to a sovereign Ukrainian state,” Jagland wrote.

As it was reported earlier, snap parliamentary elections in Ukraine are over now. Polling stations have been closed, so sociological agencies now publish their results. See the final results of exit polls: who won the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The Ambassadors of the G7 countries also called elections to the Verkhovna Rada, which took place in Ukraine on July 21, competitive and those held in compliance with fundamental rights and freedoms.
