Security Service of Ukraine on Monday is conducting 25 searches of a number of people, including journalists suspected of helping Russia hold anti-Ukrainian rallies. This was reported by the Security Service speaker Olena Hitlianska on Facebook. According to her, the searches were authorized and are being held in different regions of the country.
“Propaganda materials, arms, explosives and a lot of other evidence of subversive works against our country have been found during the searches,” Hitlianska said, promising more detailed information after completion of procedural acts.
She also noted that journalists’ activity cannot be an indulgence from responsibility from anti-state actions.
As it was reported earlier the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police prevented the attempt of the holding of the anti-Ukrainian campaign in Brussels that was organized and financed by Kremlin. The press service of the SBU reported this.
The law enforcements defined that the special services of Russia planned to hold the campaign in Brussels to discredit Ukraine in front of the European community to accuse the Ukraine’s authorities in the oppression of the journalists and free press.
