U.S. President Donald Trump wants to know whether Ukraine warned Russia before Ukrainian military ships “Nikopol,” “Berdyansk,” and “Yany Kapu” moved to the Kerch Strat, as he said in the interview for New York Post in the Wight House.

Trump supposed that there was a special system developed by the military of both of the countries for such situations.

“There was a question — was a warning given? Did they [the Ukranian vessels let them know they’re coming through? Because they have a system I guess. It’s been working,” the President said.

Trump stated that he did not like Russia’s capture of three Ukrainian vessels. He urged the European leaders to take part in solving the conflict, yet he avoided criticizing Russian President Putin.

He offered to invite the leaders of Germany and France as the mediators in the settlement of the tense situation.

Trump also stated that he talked to the Turkish President Recep Erdoğan about the Azov crisis. The leader of Turkey talked to Putin and Poroshenko about this. He offered his candidacy for a mediator in the talks.
