According to the information, mother of the deceased refused from public farewell ceremony.
"Okuyeva's husband Adam Osmaev just called and said that there will not be a farewell ceremony...she was already buried elsewhere, but it was not public," the agency reports.
It is noted that Okueva herself before the first attempt in June this year wrote a will and indicated that she wanted to be buried.
As we reported earlier, unknown men shot at the car of volunteer Donbas soldier and paramedic Amina Okueva, a Ukrainian citizen of Chechen ethnicity. She died in the attack, while her husband was wounded.
According to Anton Herashchenko, the Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs, the car was shot at while waiting at the railroad crossing near Hlevakha. The investigation is underway on the site.
The couple was assaulted before. On June 1, 2017, a killer pretending to be a journalist for Le Monde tried to murder Adam Osmaev and Amina Okueva. He was inside the car with the couple and opened fire. Then, Adam Osmaev was wounded, but his wife managed to fire at the attacker four times, due to which he was successfully detained. The killer turned out to be related to Ramzan Kadyrov, the incumbent pro-Kremlin president of Chechen Republic.
