Ternopil and Rivne region are on the verge of entering into the "red" quarantine zone. The list of "red" regions may be expanded tomorrow. This was reported by the mayor of Ternopil Serhiy Nadal on his Facebook page.
As for Ternopil, the authorities have decided to strengthen quarantine measures in the city from today.
Nadal urged to establish the opening hours of catering establishments until 22:00. Also, from Monday, schools will be switched to distance learning.
At the same time, a meeting with regional doctors was held in the Rivne Regional State Administration to prepare for the region's entry into the "red" quarantine zone.
The region records a high rate of hospitalizations with Covid-19. As of today, 963 patients with coronavirus are in hospitals, of which a third are in serious condition, more than fifty- in intensive care.
Earlier, Kyiv city and a number of regions (Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattya, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Odesa, Sumy and Lviv regions) entered the red-level quarantine zone.
The Cabinet of Ministers has tightened the rules for the citizens in public areas in the regions of the "red" lockdown zone. Now they are required to wear masks. This is stated in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
"It is forbidden to be in public places without wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators or protective masks that cover the nose and mouth, including those self-made," the statement said.
