On March 18, Ukrainian sailors and members of Volgo Balt 179 crew returned home after the vessel went down in the Black Sea off the coast of Romania as Ukraine’s Embassy in Romania reported.

The Ukrainian sailors arrived to the checkpoint of Reni (Ukraine) accompanied by the embassy’s employees. The state of health of all ten saved sailors is satisfactory.

During the stay in the territory of Romania, sailors of the sunken vessel were provided with everything necessary. They passed proper medical and preventive procedures for the organization of their safe transfer to home.

After the procession for entry to the country, the Ukrainians will head to Odesa. There, they will meet the representatives of the company operator of drowned Volgo Balt 179.

On March 11, it was reported that a vessel with 13 Ukrainian sailors aboard sank in the Black Sea, off the coast of Romania. According to mass media, a drowned vessel under the Ukrainian flag was heading to Constanța port in Romania.

Later, the State Service of Naval and River Transport of Ukraine released the list of names of the crew of Volgo Balt 179 motor vessel.
