Mariana Batiuk, a Lviv school teacher, was fired after she congratulated Adolf Hitler with his birthday, as Lviv mayor’s office press service reported.

The school’s principal personally gave the order for dismissal and a record of employment to Batiuk.

“We cannot tolerate the fact that people, who glorify those who killed millions of Ukrainians, work in Lviv schools. Both Hitler and Stalin are criminals, who have our ancestor’s blood on their hands and the blood of millions of other people. If a history teacher does not know that – she cannot be among children,” Andriy Sadovy, Lviv Mayor, commented on the incident.

The representatives of the Mayor’s Office specified that the teacher was offered to provide access to her Facebook account so that the information can be either approved or denied, but she refused.

As it was reported earlier, Mariana Batiuk, the history teacher and deputy director in Lviv school #100, published birthday congratulations to Adolf Hitler on Facebook. Later she deleted the post and said that her account was hacked.

She also said that she considered Hitler a criminal.
