“The Trilateral Contact Group emphasized, that in the period from August 28 to September 3, 2017 the smallest amount of attacks since 2015 was recorded. In order to supervise the stability of the cease-fire, it was agreed to hold a video conference of the security subgroup on September 13,” Olifer informed.
She also emphasized that the Ukrainian side has been advocating for bringing the UN peacekeeping mission to all militant-controlled territories, including the Ukrainian-Russian border, since 2015.
According to her, the cease-fire is an essential condition for continuing comprehensive implementation of the Minsk agreements, including humanitarian, political, social, and economic issues.
As it was reported earlier, in the TCG meeting today Ukraine agreed to exchange 309 militants for 89 Ukrainians held in Donbas captivity.
