The representatives of the Trilateral Contact Group agreed on the ceasefire since July 1, 2018 at the session on June 27 due to start of the harvest season, as Darka Olifer, the Press Secretary of Leonid Kuchma, the representative of Ukraine to the Trilateral Contact Group, wrote on Facebook.
“Due to the start of the harvest season the Trilateral Contact Group with the participation of the ORDLO (Separated Districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, - ed.) representatives confirm a complete commitment of the parties to the inclusive, stable and termless ceasefire starting from July 1, 2018 Kyiv time,” she wrote.
Besides, as she said, the parties have confirmed their commitment to the fulfilment of the Minsk Agreements.
The Spokesperson noted that the Ukrainian side insisted on the fulfilment of a set of Minsk Agreements issues during the ceasefire.
It was about the ceasefire concerning the OSCE SMM and the provision of security guarantees from the Russian side particularly; about the return of the illegal armed formations to the demarcation line set by the Memorandum as of September 19, 2014; about the provision of the monitoring and verification of the regions near Komsomolske, Novoazovsk, Sakhanka, Kumachove where heavy weapons and military equipment is banned; about the withdrawal of heavy weapons; about the permanent OSCE SMM monitoring throughout the uncontrolled part if Russian-Ukrainian border; about the permanent mission’s access to the entire territory of Ukraine.
