Mykhaylo Sigida, suspect in "Sarmat" murder

Pechersk District Court confirmed release of Mykhaylo Sigida suspected of murdering Vitaliy Oleshko, alias “Sarmat”, as the press office of the court informed, Hromadske reported.

The court session began at 2:00 pm on June 6 after the investigator submitted the motion. It was over at 10:00 p.m.

Court released Sigida and ruled to place him under house arrest.

The grounds on which such decision was made remain unknown.

As it was reported, on July 31, 2018 at around 12:30 pm an unknown attacker shot at Oleshko in Berdyansk, southern Ukraine. Then, the perpetrator escaped. Oleshko died on the spot.

Mykhaylo Sigida was detained in Berdyansk on September 14 under the suspicion of organizing murder of Vitaliy Oleshko. On December 16, Yevhen Brodsky was arrested. He is suspected of ordering murder of “Sarmat”.
