Head of Kherson Regional Council Vladyslav Manger, the suspect in the organization of the murder of Kherson official Kateryna Handziuk has returned to work as the correspondent of 112 Ukraine reported.
“We stay near the building of Kherson Regional State Administration, where Vladyslav Manger returned for work as he occupies the position of the head of the regional council. He held the apparatus meeting, which main issue was the fulfilling of the program on the fight against cancer. Now, he is at his working place,” the correspondent said.
Kherson Regional Council specified that Manger deals with working issues and works as usually.
On February 11, Vladyslav Manger was served with charge papers in Handziuk’s murder. In his turn, Manger said that he would not escape from the country due to suspicion of organizing the murder of Handziuk.
The court ruled to arrest Manger until March 3 with the possibility of bail. However, later lawyer Dmitry Ilchenko has posted a bail for his client Kherson Regional Council Head Vladyslav Manger.
On November 4, 2018, it became known that Kateryna Handziuk died at the age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. According to preliminary information, her death was caused by blood clot's detachment.
Besides, the doctors specified the cause for the death of Handziuk was specified. It was due to multiple organ failure and chemical burns.
Handziuk case evoked a huge public outrage, with people demanding to find the orderer of the murder of the activist.
