The officers of criminal police detained Dnipro resident in Kharkiv international airport on December 16. He is suspected of being an accomplice to the murder of former volunteer Vitaliy Oleshko (Sarmat), as Vyacheslav Abroskin, First Deputy Head of National Police, wrote on Facebook.
“Yesterday, during an attempt to cross the border at Kharkiv international airport, the officers of the criminal police detained Dnipro resident, suspected of ordering a murder of a public figure, ATO (Anti-terrorist operation, -ed.) participant Vitaliy Oleshko, who was murdered on June 7, 2018 in Berdyansk,” Abroskin wrote.
As we reported earlier, two gunshot wounds took the life of Vitaliy Oleshko, the former volunteer fighter of Donbas battalion and the active participant in Donbas conflict. A gunfire attack occurred in the southeastern city of Berdiansk.
Oleshko was shot dead in the yard of a local hotel, in front of his wife. Andriy Madzharov, who later uploaded a video on his social network account confirmed that the man sustained two wounds to his back; the killer used a shotgun.
The shooter who killed Vitaliy 'Sarmat' Oleshko is the former fighter of Tornado volunteer battalion. The convict, formerly the sniper of the unit, might face the life imprisonment for this particular crime.
