A 31-year-old Azerbaijani citizen suspected in the murder of Ukraine’s Army serviceman was detained on February 3 in Zaporizhia and later chosen a preventive measure in form of arrest. This was reported by the representative of the General Prosecutor’s Office Andriy Lysenko on Facebook.
The man is suspected of a murder committed at night in Kyiv restaurant on February 1. Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv decided on the arrest today, on February 5.
The suspect is charged under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, - intentional homicide.
As it was reported earlier, a 22-year-old contract soldier died in a brawl in Kyiv restaurant in Dniprovsky district on Serhienko Street on February 1. The dispute became a fight, in which the man serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was stabbed in the neck and died.
According to preliminary information, the conflict broke out in one of the restaurants between a group of six people and the young man. Witnesses say that both sides were drunk. During the fight, the young man was stabbed in the neck and died right away.
After that, the attackers ran out of the restaurant and, according to eyewitnesses, got in two cars, Volkswagen and Audi with foreign numbers and disappeared.
