Smolninsky district court of St. Petersburg has chosen a restrictive measure in the form of detention for Nazar Smolensky who is suspected in the attack on the security guard of Ukraine’s Consulate General as press service of St. Petersburg’s courts reported.
Nazar Smolensky is incriminated hooliganism with the use of arms tied with the resistance to a representative of authority or other person fulfilling the duties on maintenance of public order.
“Not later than 12:22, February 19, 2021, having an intent for blatant violation of public order, staying at the address Bonch-Bruevych, 1/B, waiting for opening of the front door of the Consulate General of Ukraine, inflicted two stab wounds on the duty officer,” the message said.
It is noted that a man was earlier brought to trial; he is not married; has no children, diseases that do not allow him to stay in remand center.
The suspect was arrested until April 18.
As we reported, in St. Petersburg, an unknown person attacked an employee of the Consulate General of Ukraine. The attacker used a knife.
Earlier, we reported that an unknown knife wielder attacked three Russian citizens in Istanbul. All three were taken to the hospital. Two women and a man received the necessary aid.
