Oleh Netrebko, the suspect in assault on MP from People's Front, Tetiana Chornovol, was found hanging in detention facility of Internal Ministry. This was reported by Yuriy Maslak, press secretary of Deputy Minister of Justice of the Penitentiary System, in a commentary to Ukrainian News.
"He was found hanging not in the remand center, but in the temporary detention facility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," he said.
According to him, Netrebko was held in Lukyanivska Prison for 1 day — from May 12 to 13 — after extradition from Belarus. The place of further detention was selected by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Earlier Ukrainian MP Vitalii Kuprii noted on Facebook, that Oleh Netrebko was killed in Lukyanivska Prison.
"Netrebko’s murder in prison cell was expected, as he could tell about police crimes during Dignity Revolution. Some of them are still in office. The key witness in Maidan case was eliminated," Kuprii announced.
As it was reported, Pechersk District Court of Kyiv arrested Netrebko, who was extradited from Belarus, for 60 days.
Journalist, and current people’s deputy Tetiana Chornovol was beaten on the night of December 25, 2013.
