"I want to announce the next plenary session on October 22. I will propose that on this day, October 22, the next head of the Supreme Court is elected. We want to do it in advance," Danishevska said.
She added that her term as chairman of the Supreme Court would expire in a couple of months, noting that she was not going to run for office again anyway.
"I will not run. So, we can look for the next chairman of the Supreme Court in our ranks," Danishevska said.
As it was reported earlier, Valentyna Danishevska was elected chairman of the Supreme Court in November 2017 after a new court was formed after the reform. 67 out of 111 judges voted for her. Danishevska was elected chairman of the court for the term of four years.
