Sanctions against Russia should be continued, the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said. He also draws attention to the violations of the ceasefire in Donbas. He announced this during a briefing on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We talked about the aggressive actions of Russia and how important the implementation of the Minsk agreements was. We saw the terrible violations of the cease-fire last month. And they continue. Russia has a great responsibility in ending this conflict. Us, the international community, should put pressure on Russia, to make it fulfill Minsk agreements. In this regard, the sanctions should be extended, "Stoltenberg said.

NATO Secretary General also urged to redouble efforts for the Minsk agreements to finally be fulfilled.

"I call to redouble efforts to implement the agreements. Firstly, a full ceasefire and weapons withdrawal should be achieved," Stoltenberg said.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine wants to hold NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Kyiv. Ukrainian delegation proposed to change the schedule already approved by the assembly.
