The first vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk rents an apartment from his mother-in-law and receives compensation from the state budget "for non-resident housing." In a commentary to the social movement CHESNO, he confirmed that he still lives in this apartment.
Stefanchuk filed an annual declaration for 2018 as deputy director of the state organization National Intellectual Property Office. According to his declaration, Stefanchuk lived in an apartment of 101.8 square meters. m since 2012, which belongs to Tatyana Sitaruk.
Stefanchuk's wife had the surname Sitaruk before marriage. Also, according to journalists, Tatyana Sitaruk is the mother of the wife of the first deputy speaker of parliament.
Stefanchuk confirmed that he still lives in this apartment.
“This year I’m paying rent for this housing. The landlord will pay taxes for it in the manner prescribed by law ...,” - he said.
To the question of whether Stefanchuk pays for the rental of housing for his wife’s mother, he replied that he was paying "to the landlord under the contract - the owner of the apartment."
