Statements of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky doubt the possibility of holding of the prisoners’ exchange as representative of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Olha Kobtseva stated.
Earlier, during the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky stated that the representatives of Ukraine almost agreed on the holding of the new exchange of prisoners, specifying that the self-proclaimed republics are ready to pass 200 people to the Ukrainian side.
“Numbers he stated at the Munich Conference do not correspond to the reality. Firstly, about 200 people are announced, then about 240 people,” Kobtseva said.
“Just, such statements of the first person of the state doubt the possibility of implementation of such issue (the prisoner swap). Because the information announced by the head of the state does not correspond to the reality,” she underlined.
Kobtseva urged the president of Ukraine to familiarize himself with the real lists for the exchange discussed by the representatives of Ukraine with the representatives of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic.
Earlier, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko stated that Ukraine expects to return up to 200 people during the new large-scale swap.
