The state of emergency may be soon declared in the capital of Ukraine. First Deputy Head of Kyiv city state administration Mykola Povoroznyk said so in his interview with RBC-Ukraine.

The respective documents are now undergoing necessary legal procedures.

"Yesterday, we confirmed the increase of restrictive measures and agreed on the state of emergency in Kyiv", Povoroznyk said.

In Kyiv region, the state of emergency was introduced on March 18. The situation is defined as a medical and biological emergency situation of natural origin on the regional level.

As of late March 19, Centre for Public Healthcare of Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry reported another five cases of infection with the Chinese coronavirus.

The Ministry informs that the patients are now isolated, and their current health condition is stable.

Thus, the actual official number of Covid-19 cases in Ukraine reached 26. Three cases already turned out lethal. On March 19, a woman who suffered from a number of diseases including coronavirus deceased in Ivano-Frankivsk region. On the same day, two cases of Chinese coronavirus have been confirmed in Dnipropetrovsk region.
