The State Investigation Bureau (SIB) in Khmelnytsky has begun the investigation due to the crash of Mi-8 in Rivne region as bureau reported.
The military prosecutor’s office of Rivne garrison holds the procedural guide.
“Preliminary, at the military unit A2595 (16th detached brigade of army aviation of Command of the Ground Forces, location Brody village, Lviv region) the planned flight drills took place. During the flight near Sestryatyn village, Rivne region at the distance of about three km from the mentioned village, the helicopter fell due to the not established reasons. In the results of the crash, the crew consisting of 4 people died, including the commander of the military unit A2595,” the message said.

As we reported, four people died in a military helicopter's crash in Rivne region on May 29. Late in the evening that day, connection was lost with Mi-8.
Earlier a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet crashed at around while attempting to land during a scheduled flight. Major Oleksandr Fomenko died at the age of 43. He was chief of the air combat training unit of the tactical aviation brigade of the Air Command Center of the Air Force of Ukraine.
