The investigators did not demand the forcible expertise for alcohol of the detained police officers, who shot 5-year-old Kyrylo Tlyavov in Pereyaslov-Khmelnytsky as it was a weekend as Hromadske reported citing Head of Regional Department of State Investigation Bureau (SIB) Ruslan Marchuk.

“The investigators did not appeal to the court with a request on the forcible holding of the expertise for alcohol and presence of the gunshot residue on the bodies of the police officers, suspected in the murder of 5-year-old boy in Pereyaslov-Khmelnytsky as it was a weekend (Saturday, June 1) and they decided that the court does not work,” the message said.

Earlier SIB Director Roman Truba reported that both suspected refused to pass the expertise for alcohol as well as swabs up so the fact of their drunkenness is established by questioning.

State Bureau of Investigation informed that the rifle which killed five-year-old Kyrylo Tlyavov in Kyiv region was not found.

As it was reported, the leadership of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky police department of Kyiv region was suspended from their duties after the death of a five-year-old Kyrylo injured by the police officers.

On May 31, a boy with physical injuries in the form of a severe closed-head injury, brain contusion, internal brain hematoma and a fracture of the temporal bone was delivered to the intensive care unit of the Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky hospital. On June 3, Kyrylo died; the doctors could not save his life.

According to police officers, around 4:00 pm on May 31, four children were walking alongside their place of residence. The 5-year-old boy, due to carelessness, slipped and fell on the asphalt concrete pavement and stone, as a result of which he suffered a head injury.
