State enterprise Antonov commented on its possible cooperation with Russia

Due to the international obligations, the company has to provide technical assessment of its aircrafts

State aircraft enterprise Antonov gave information concerning their possible cooperation with Russia, as it was published on their website

The company writes that, according to the international obligations under the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the developer remains responsible for the integrity of the aircraft’s construction, and can be contacted to solve issues that may require correctional measures. Moreover, the developer is to provide a technical assessment of their aircrafts.

In case the company refuses to do so, it will face international sanctions, including losing the developer’s license, and permit to perform international flights.

In order to fulfill its international obligations, the company will provide the technical assessment of the An-124-100 aircraft of Volga-Dnepr Airlines. The company emphasized that the afore-mentioned aircraft is a civilian one, and can only be used accordingly. It was also emphasized that Volga-Dnepr Airlines isn’t under sanctions imposed by Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council.
