The smoke spread is observed in the occupied territories near Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint; that is why, the work of the checkpoint might be stopped, as Head of Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhiy Haidai reported on Facebook.
“Today, at 09:00 a.m., the work of the checkpoint was restored. In the occupied territory near the checkpoint, unfortunately, the fire takes place, the particular smoke spread occurs. If a strong smoke will spread to the checkpoint, we will stop its work for an hour, two hours, as long as it is needed but we will not close it during the strong smoke,” he said.
Previously, we reported that on October 4, Russian mercenaries landed four attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas. They used grenade launchers and small arms. The Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on Monday morning.
The enemy opened fire in the areas of Avdiivka, Katerynivka, and Vodyane. In the area of Shumy, pro-Kremlin militants opened fire from underbarrel grenade launcher and small arms. Ukrainian fighters did not return fire, as the attacks did not pose any threat to them.
Thus, on October 4, Ukrainian forces did not take any casualties.
On October 5, 09:00 a.m., the work of Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint was resumed.
