A stalker from the Moscow region was found in the area of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The press center of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that.

"This night, while patrolling the exclusion zone, border guards of the Ivankiv department together with the National Police found a young man who entered the Chernobyl zone for the purpose of extreme tourism, bypassing checkpoints," the statement said.

The stalker was a 24-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation, a resident of the Moscow region. He entered the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant legally, passing through one of the road checkpoints.

The foreigner faces punishment under Art. 46-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ("Violation of the requirements of the radiation safety regime in areas subject to radioactive contamination") in the form of a fine of 20 to 30 tax-free minimum incomes, as well as a possible reduction of the period of stay in Ukraine.
