SSU bans German politician Wimmer entry into Ukraine for visiting Crimea

Wimmer visited Crimea late March as part of delegation of German businessmen and politicians

Security Service of Ukraine has banned entry into Ukraine for 5 years term German politician Willy Wimmer, the ex-deputy of the Bundestag, the former deputy chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the former parliamentary state secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Germany. This was reported by SSU speaker to Interfax-Ukraine agency.

"Decision on prohibiting Willy Wimmer entry into Ukrainian territory for 5 years has been taken," she said.

According to the press secretary, such decision was taken due to Wimmer’s visit to Crimea in violation of the established procedure.

According to media, Wimmer, who is a member of the Christian Democratic Union, visited Crimea in late March this year as a part of delegation with German businessmen and politicians, where he met with the self-proclaimed administration of the occupied Crimea.
