Spanish tenor Placido Domingo to perform in Ukraine first-ever

The first performance of famous Spanish tenor Placido Domingo accompanied by the National Academic Orchestra of Ukraine will take place in Palats Ukraina in Kyiv on February 13, 2019.

There are 149 leading opera roles within his repertoire (more than any tenor has ever had in history) with over 3,900 performances. Over 100 opera recordings, arias collections, duets and cross-overs brought him 12 Grammies, including three Latin. Placido Domingo recorded over 50 music clips and won two Emmy awards.

Despite three opera movies (Carmen, La Traviata and Othello), he voiced Monte in Beverly Hills Chihuahua and played himself in Simpsons. Over three billion people saw his Tosca recorded in authentic places of Roman opera. In 1990, Placido Domingo and his colleagues Josep Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti took part in joint concerts of “Three Tenors”, which had success in the whole world and attracted millions of new fans.
