Holding in custody or $3,000,000 bail - such preventative measures were chosen for the Major-General of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine who is suspected in the criminal proceeding relating to the acquisition of defective armored vests for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Head of the Ministry of Defense Roman Truba wrote about it on his Telegram-channel referring to the decision of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv City.

"We have to elect the measures for another four suspected. So far only for four detained - there will more of them. I remind that the investigation considers those people in buying deliberately and with prior agreement thousands of defective body armors. The fact that they are shot is proved by expertises. The price of the concluded agreement makes of more than $7,000,000," Truba mentioned.

As we reported earlier, Russia had begun conveying the 90th consignment of humanitarian aid to residents of eastern Ukraine, who resided in the war zone.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia noted that it was planned to deliver about 600 tons of humanitarian aid to the people of Donbas, which included baby food kits.
