Artem Kim, the son of the ex-head of Energoatom, was put under home detention, as he is suspected of stealing 1 mln USD from the mentioned state company. Serhiy Kozachyna, the prosecutor of Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution, who represented the prosecution in court, told Ukrayinska Pravda about the detention.
Apart from being under round-the-clock home detention with an ankle monitor, Kim is also to come to court on first call, hand over his passports, inform investigators and court about changing his place of residence, and abstain from communicating with other participants of the criminal proceedings and witnesses.
According to the prosecution, the detained used his family connections with an ex-head of Energoatom to help two companies win tenders on selling electrical vaults equipment, which the nuclear power plant used. The equipment was overpriced, and the state suffered from a 1 mln USD loss.
