In Dnipro city, due to the snow, which paralyzed transport, schoolchildren were released for early holidays and state employees – for two days. This was stated by the city head of Dnipro Borys Filatov, says the website of the city council.
In the schools of Dnipro, starting from tomorrow, March 20, they announced a six-day vacation. They will last until March 26. Note that traditionally spring hlidays last from March 26 to April 1.
In kindergartens, duty groups will work on Tuesday and Wednesday in case of a significant decrease in the number of children.
On March 20 and 21, in the city council of the Dnieper, its executive bodies and municipal enterprises, except those that prevent emergencies, will be the days off.
The heads of enterprises of all forms of ownership were recommended to cancel work for the next two days.
Filatov noted that in order to completely overcome the consequences of the weather, utilities will work overtime.
The mayor urged the heads of enterprises to promptly ensure the cleaning of the adjacent territories.
To quickly eliminate traffic jams and clear sidewalks, the mayor's office temporarily allowed communal workers to evacuate vehicles that interfere with the cleaning of snow. In his Facebook, Filatov promised to "mercilessly evacuate" cars parked that way.
"And, yes, we will absolutely mercilessly evacuate private cars that are in the way of public transport," Filatov said.
As it was reported earlier, the traffic in the Dnipro on Mach 19 is practically paralyzed due to snowfalls. Public transport runs with a significant deviation from the timetable, trolley buses get stuck in snowdrifts, and trams practically do run.
