The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has created 199 district election commissions for the early parliamentary elections of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which will take place on June 21. The press service of the CEC reported this on Facebook.
“…CEC has created 199 district election commission on elections of the MPs of Ukraine for the early parliamentary elections of Ukraine on July 21, 2019,” the report said.
Reportedly, overall 3582 members have been selected to the commissions through the mandatory inclusion of candidacies in the district election commissions and the results of drawing of lots.
“Therefore, all 199 commissions are formed in a maximum of 18 members of the commissions,” the report added.
Earlier, on May 24, the electoral process kicked off in Ukraine; early parliamentary elections are scheduled for July 21, 2019.
According to the Ukrainian legislation, the electoral process of snap elections begins on the next day after the President’s decree on early termination of the mandate of Verkhovna Rada and appointment of the new elections is published. Therefore, the electoral process starts on May 24, without Central Commission making any decisions.
