Central Election Commission refused to register the candidates to the Ukrainian MPs from Saakashvili’s party Movement of new forces, as the state body reported.
The candidates were nominated from the party both in the state-wide multi-member constituency and in single-member constituencies. The representatives of the Central Election Commission noted that the Commission refused to register Bogomazov who wanted to become a representative of the political party in the Central Election Commission with a consultative vote.
The representatives of the Commission believe that Saakashvili’s party congress which was held on June 10 had some violations of the party’s statute. At the same time, the Central Election Commission wants to pass a copy of the decision and a copy of the protocol of the sitting of the party’s council to the police for inspection.
Earlier Central Election Committee of Ukraine registered seven parties, which are supposed to run during the snap parliamentary election.
According to the information on the CEC's website, the list includes the following parties: Civil Position, Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko, Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union, Fakel (Torch, - 112 International) All-Ukrainian Union, Golos (Voice, - 112 International), Opposition Platform - For Life and Power and Honor.
