Some unknown threw a smoke pellet on the road near the Lithuanian Embassy in Kyiv on April 24. This was reported by the press service of the metropolitan National Police.

Yesterday the police received the report that some unknown threw a smoke pellet on Buslovska street near the Embassy of Lithuania.

“Near the fence about twenty meters from the entrance to the diplomatic institution the police found the remains of the used RGD smoke grenade. At the same time, during the inspection of the surrounding area the police found an empty shell of F1 grenade on the waste ground. All these items were seized for expertise,” the said statement.

The incident was recorded and the issue of opening criminal proceedings under Part 4 Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being decided.

Earlier it was reported that Russian Embassy in Damascus, Syria was subjected to mortar fire on February 2 and 3. The fire was conducted precisely from Jobar district.
