Six films-nominees for Oskar from Ukraine announced

Ukrainian Oscar Committee has published the list of six films among which the contender from Ukraine for the Oscar nomination in the category "Best Foreign Language Film" as the committee reported on Facebook.

The Ukrainian contenders are:

"Brama" by Volodymyr Tykhy

"The Volcano" by Roman Bondarchuk

"Donbas" by Serhy Loznytsia

"Cyborgs" by Akhteim Seitablaev

"When the trees fall" by Marysia Nikityk

"Myth" by Leonid Canter

The film that will present Ukraine at Oscar next year will be announced on August 29. The Oscar Award Ceremony will take place on February 23, 2019.

As we reported earlier Vulkan (The Volcano, - 112 International), the full-length movie by Ukrainian director Roman Bondarchuk brought him victory at the 15th Golden Apricot festival in Armenia.
