The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) suspended its officers who accompanied founder of the mass cannabis distribution network known as Telegrass Amos Dov Silver at Boryspil airport. This was reported by the press service of the SSU on its Facebook.
“The members of the service responsible for the implementation of these actions, are suspended during the investigation. The SSU representatives who participated in the extradition procedure are providing explanations to the management of the internal security department of Ukraine’s Security Service,” reads the message.
Operational subdivisions of the SSU are working on tracing and detention of Silver.
The Israeli mass media were the first to report on the escape of Amos Dov Silver. Earlier the Supreme Court of Ukraine granted the motion of Israel on the extradition of Silver.
Drug lord was detained in Kyiv in spring 2019 on the demand of the Israeli police. In July, Kyiv Appeal Court decided to release him for the house arrest.
According to the open source, Telegrass is the Israeli network for the distribution of marijuana with 200,000 members. Israeli police officers noted that 10,000 tons of drugs, including marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy were sold through it.
