Prime Minister Denys Shmygal says the all-Ukrainian census scheduled for 2023 will be “unusual”. He said so during a press conference.

“This census will be unusual, we want to conduct it using the latest digital technologies, this was agreed by the Minister of Digital Transformation, including during a trip to the United States. Therefore, the census, which we will begin in 2023, will be prepared in 2022, appropriate funds are being pledged,” the Prime Minister stated.

Shmygal noted that the census "will bring a lot of innovations" to Ukraine.

As it was reported earlier, it is planned to carry out the population census in Ukraine in 2023. For these purposes, the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has allocated over $3 million.

Earlier, the coordinator of the UN system in Ukraine on humanitarian issues Osnat Lubrani stated the need for a census in Ukraine.
