“On February 22, Anatoliy Shariy was called for holding of investigative actions with the participation of the suspect; he did not show up. His non-appearance can be interpreted as concealment from the investigation,” the message said.
Earlier, it was underlined that if Shariy does not come for interrogation; the decision will be made to put him on the wanted list.
“Meanwhile, the appeal of lawyer V. Rybin would be considered and granted in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Lawyer and his client are invited on February 25, 2021, for familiarization with the materials of the proceeding that served as the basis for serving charges to Anatoliy Shariy,” the SBU added.
On February 16, the SBU served charges in state treason to Anatoliy Shariy, blogger and politician.
According to investigators, Shariy was carrying out illegal activities to detriment Ukraine's national security in the information sphere.
In his turn, Shariy stated that the Security Service of Ukraine did not serve him charges officially. He read about it on the Telegram channel.
