Severely ill Crimean Tatar Edem Bekirov demands "immediate medical emergency care and appropriate treatment," as the Human Rights Watch organization stated.

“He should be in a hospital, where he can get adequate medical care, not in a detention cell," the message reads.

As it was reported earlier, Crimean Tatar activist Edem Bekirov stated he would announce hunger strike and refuse from medicine if Supreme Court rules to pass his case to Krasnoperekopsk. According to Bekirov, he would not survive transportation due to his health condition, as he wrote in his appeal.

“Central District Court of Simferopol ruled to transport my case to Krasnoperekopsk district court. Transportation is like a death for me. I realize that with my disease I will not make it while transportation. So starvation in Simferopol prison No. 1 will be more painless. Therefore, I announce that if there is an attempt to transport me to Krasnoperekopsk, I will go on a hunger strike,” he wrote.
