Suspect in the murder of seven-year-old Mariya Borysova, a 52-year-old citizen of Shchaslyve village, Kherson region, confessed to killing a girl as Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko reported on Facebook.
He confessed and told how he put the body of a girl in the sack and fastened it with some lacing and belt.
“Yes, for investigation, his confession is very important. However, the DNA study is more significant. The biological samples found on the body of the deceased girl belong to the detainee. It is a fact,” Klymenko noted.
Moreover, the National Police head reported that ‘some people try to influence the mother of a girl but she stated in public that she does not believe in the involvement of the person of interest and she accused another person.
“The suspect remains in detention. Police gather and register an evidential base. Any manipulations will hinder us – we act according to the law and for reasons of conscience. He should be responsible for this horrible action,” Klymenko noted.
As we reported, on March 11, in the Kherson region, seven-year-old Mariya Borysova was found dead after she was missing five days. The police established that the death of a child was violent. It is noted that during the visible inspection, visible bodily injuries were detected.
It was also reported that the suspect has earlier committed a similar crime in Shchaslyve village. It was specified that a man raped a boy many years ago.
As we reported, Mykola Tarasov, accused of rape and murder of 11-year-old Dasha Lukyanenko in the Odesa region in 2019, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
