On March 11, in the Kherson region, seven-year-old Mariya Borysova was found dead after she was missing five days, as Obozrevatel reported.

A body of a girl was found in Shchastlyve village, where she lived. The child disappeared on March 7. She left her home and was searched by two hundred police officers and National Guard officers, as well as local citizens and volunteers.

The police established that the death of a child was violent. It is noted that during the visible inspection, visible bodily injuries were detected. The preliminary reason for a child’s death is mechanical asphyxia.

Later, the police detained a suspect in the murder of seven-year-old Mariya Borysova. The searches lasted for four days. A 52-year-old man was hiding a body and later took it to the place of searches. When the police came to arrest a man he was lying with wrist slits as Head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko reported.

It was also reported that the suspect has earlier committed a similar crime in Shchastlyve village. It was specified that a 52- year-old man raped a boy many years ago.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reported that the suspect in the murder of seven-year-old Mariya Borysova was served charges and arrested without a right for bail.

As we reported, Mykola Tarasov, accused of rape and murder of 11-year-old Dasha Lukyanenko in the Odesa region in 2019, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
