Servant of the People party nominates Viktor Lyashko for the post of Minister of Healthcare. Oleksiy Honcharenko, a parliamentarian from the European Solidarity party, published the corresponding submission in his Telegram channel, but it has not yet available on the parliament's website.
“According to item 12 of part 1 of article 85 and item 4 of article 114 of the Constitution of Ukraine, on the offer of deputy fraction of Servant of the People political party which, according to part 10 of article 83 of the Constitution of Ukraine, has the right of a coalition of deputy factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation, I am submitting a proposal to appoint Lyashko Viktor Kyrylovych Minister of Health of Ukraine,” the proposal of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal reads.
As it was reported, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Maksym Stepanov from the position of Minister of Healthcare upon his own request on May 18. 284 MPs voted for the decision.
Zelensky’s team said this dismissal is due to the problems with contracts on the supply of vaccines against coronavirus and careful attention to the minister from the side of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU).
